At Lincoln Middle School, student success is evident in everything we do. Home of the Lincoln Lions, our school is deeply committed to maintaining high expectations, forming healthy relationships, and fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment that meets the unique needs of both our students and staff.

Indiana State Law: Senate Bill 78

Beginning with the 2026–27 school year, all Indiana school districts are required to follow a new state law (SB 78) regarding student personal wireless communication devices, which includes: Cellphones, Smartwatches, Tablets, Personal laptops for personal use, Gaming devices, and Meta Glasses during the school day.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR CHILD

Lincoln Launch - 6th Grade Orientation

Incoming 6th graders and their families are encouraged to join us for our Lincoln Launch 6th Grade Orientation on Tuesday, July 28th. There are two session times from which to choose. The first session will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon, and the second will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, August 6th is our first day of school! 

Parents/Guardians will be able to access their child's bus routing information directly through Skyward toward the end of the month/beginning of August. 

We look forward to a wonderful 2026-2027 school year!

7th & 8th Grade Schedule Pick Up & On-site Registration Session

On Tuesday, July 28th, 7th- and 8th-grade students and their families may visit the school to pick up schedules from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We will also be offering an On-site Registration Session for families who would like assistance with the enrollment/registration process from noon to 7:00 p.m. (Families who do not require assistance may complete our online enrollment or registration.)

Thursday, August 6th is our first day of school! Classes begin at 8:55 a.m.

Helpful Information

  • Supply list for the 2026-2027 school year.
  • Please reference the middle school handbook to review our district policies.
    • Please refer to pages 12-14 to help ensure that your child’s attire aligns with our district dress code.
  • Students’ first day of school will be on Thursday, August 6th. Classes begin at 8:55 a.m. 
  • Families, please review the new personal communication device policy and state law!
  • On Wednesday, August 26th, we will host our Back to School Night Program from 5:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. Additional details are forthcoming. We invite you to learn about your student’s educators and the learning culture of our school.

Student Instructional Day:  9:00 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.

Buses Unload at 8:50 a.m.
Buses Depart by 3:55 p.m.
Late Bus Departs (Tuesdays and Thursday) at 4:45 p.m

*Students in the building beyond 4 p.m. will need to be in supervised situations such as school activities, tutoring, clubs, sporting events, etc.
