Mr. Daniel Nickel
Assistant Principal
Daniel Nickel has worked in education since 2007. From starting as an Instructional Assistant to various roles in between, he has worked in both high school and middle schools. Mr. Nickel is from Southern Illinois where he attended Carbondale Community High School and then Southern Illinois University. Since moving to Central Indiana six years ago, he has only worked in Pike Township at both Guion Creek Middle School and Lincoln Middle School. Mr. Nickel is married and has one son.
Mrs. Katherine Essig
Assistant Principal
This is Mrs. Essig’s 18th year as an educator in the MSD of Pike Township. Prior to coming to Lincoln Middle School, she taught 2nd and 3rd grade at Eagle Creek Elementary School and served as the Instructional Coach at Guion Creek Middle School. Mrs. Essig actually did her student teaching in Pike Township, fell in love with it, and decided that there was no better place to be an educator, so here she is!
